The new year is here, and America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital is getting ready for another great celebration of food in Sacramento.
Last year’s inaugural Farm-to-Fork Week was a huge success, and 2014 has already seen more attention on food, as Jamie Oliver is currently in town promoting food literacy and healthy eating. Read more here.
Farm-to-Fork Week will be an even bigger affair in Sacramento this year, with an expanded time frame to fit in more great events and food-related fun.
Here’s the rundown:
Farm-to-Fork Week – a celebration of all things food: Sept. 15-28
Farm-to-Fork Restaurant Week – local restaurants of the California Restaurant Association focus on special farm-to-fork fare: Sept. 15-28
Farm-to-Fork Legends of Wine – excellent wines selected by industry leaders at a tasting at the California State Capitol: Sept. 18
Farm-to-Fork Festival – a free event to showcase the best of Sacramento’s local bounty, drawing 25,000 to Capitol Mall last year: Sept. 27
Farm-to-Fork Dinner – top area chefs prepare a farm-to-fork meal for hundreds of people (location and ticket sale date TBA): Sept. 28
